20 April 2018

The quality of research, ideas and innovation left us awestruck on the night.

Thankyou so much to everyone who attended our Accelerate4 Demo Night showcase in Sydney on Thursday 19 April 2018.

It was a delight to welcome friends and supporters from all across the national innovation ecosystem, including members from Senator Cash’s office and the CSIRO Board. The quality of research, ideas and innovation shared with the crowd left us awestruck at the might of Australian science in just one room. It's exciting to think what else is out there, waiting to be discovered and powered up.

Well done to all the pitchers from each of the 10 teams. You did yourselves proud. It was incredible to witness the culmination of your 12 week pitch journey from Bootcamp in November 2017 to the stages of Sydney in April.

To each of our 10 teams, welcome to the ON Tribe. You join 30 other Accelerate graduate teams and are now part of 200 other Australia researchers who have been through ON. We look forward to continuing alongside you as you forge on to make your ideas a reality.

Our special thanks to Dr. Larry Marshall, CE of CSIRO who gave a terrific speech to the crowd, aligning the journey of the Accelerator teams to that of a reality tv show – albeit, a kinder, gentler one.
